With the theme
"Empowering Philippine Women in Europe - their participation in the Development Processes in Europe and in the Philippines, the Gender dimensions of migration and development", more than 61 women from 9 European countries and the Philippines came together in Cologne, Germany. The Babaylan conference which took place on 26-28 Ocober 2007 also marked its 15th year anniversary.
Several distinguished speakers, the Philippine ambassador to Germany Delia Domingo, Bernice Campos-Roldan of Unlad-Kabayan Philippines, Sally Rousset of Babaylan-France and Kekeli Kpognon of Akina Mama wa Afrika gave inputs on the gender dimensions of migration and its impact on development both in the host countries in Europe and the Philippines. There were also several workshops which tackled the current issues which Filipina migrants in Europe face. One of the workshops, lead by Fe Jusay of the Commission for Filipino Migrant Workers talked about the campaign of the domestic workers in Europe while another workshop lead by Bernice Campos Roldan, discussed the different microfinance initiatives in support of small-scale development projects in the Philippines.

The 3-day conference ended with the election of the new Babaylan Executive committee 2007-2009 composed of Adora Fischer (Switzerland), Tess de Man-Selibio (Netherlands), Lina Gschwend (Germany) and Nitnit Mongya Hoegsholm and Judy Hover (Denmark). Maya Jezewski of Babaylan-France was also elected as alternative member of the ExeCom. This conference was organised by the 2006-2007 Interim ExeCom of Babaylan: Adora Fischer, Nitnit Mongaya Hoegsholm, Marylou Hardillo, Lina Gschwend, Tess de Man-Selibio and Malu Padilla.
