Dear Mr. Flores,
I have often visited Munting Nayon. I do so when I feel nostalgic about life as a Filipino and as one now living abroad. In viewing this current edition I felt compelled to write to you to seek your help in a campaign we are conducting in Canada to vote a Filipino-Canadian among the Top 25 Canadian Immigrants of 2010. You and MNNM are greatly influential in advancing valid causes of Filipinos abroad. You make us feel "at home" in the world Rizal described as one without borders. If you'd be so kind to convey my appeal to your multitude of readers, I would be truly grateful. Here is my appeal:
Please help vote for a Filipino as 1 of the Top 25 Canadian Immigrants of 2010
Dear Friends and Kababayan,
Ako po si Forte Gerardo, a senior, self-employed immigrant entrepreneur na Filipino at proud Canadian citizen living in Aurora, Ontario doing small business international trading for more than 30 years.
I wish to share with you my delight and pride in being named as a finalist in the Canadian Immigrant magazine contest to select the Top 25 Canadian Immigrants of 2010. Click here http://www.canadianimmigrant.ca/top25 for details of this contest and how to vote on-line. It’s free to take part. It is a “people’s choice award”; anyone with an e-mail address and access to the Internet can vote wherever in Canada and in the world you may live.
In the October 2009 issue, Canadian Immigrant told my story in http://www.canadianimmigrant.ca/immigrantstories/career/article/5327 - that one with strong determination and faith can create a fulfilling job of productive global trading in Canada even in difficult conditions.
Please also visit http://www.filinter.net for reviews on the usefulness of my guidebook "Ka-intindi'han [Mutual Understanding] Canadians' Practical Guide Dealing with Today's Global Filipinos in Business, @ Work, @ Home & in the Communities.” Reply to this email and I will gladly send a digital excerpt for your reading.
I would be truly grateful for your voting for your kababayan, for a Pinoy as 1 of the Top 25 Canadian Immigrants for this year. For the overseas working Filipino in Canada and the U.S.A and around the world is embodied in that category!
Yours sincerely and Mabuhay,
Forte Gerardo

Dear Mr. Flores,
I was looking for some art work by Conrad Moroder and accidentally discovered your munting nayon news .
I read it including the comments and thoroughly enjoyed it. You have managed to get the Filipinos connected all over the world. Here in michigan we also have a newsletter published quarterly but it is mostly local events.
I was wondering if you might be able to send me a copy of one issue and I will send ours too.See what you think -and any suggestions willbe highly appreciated.
More power to you.
With best regards,

Thank you for sending the Newsletter. I'm so pleased of reading what's happening around the world especially the Filipino Community. I am a published author and my first book "The Messages" miscellaneous prose and poetry was published in Dec. 2006. At the moment I am waiting the editing of my second book "The Messages of My Dreams" which is my Dream Diary[prophecies, warnings and reminders]to finish as it was delayed. I managed to write my third book while waiting the editing of my second book. The editing and proofreading of my third book "The Messages, Conversation With God Against Satan" my diary in seven days [miscellaneous prose and poetry]was finished last week and I forwarded the manuscript to the publisher last friday. They replied that I have to wait within 2 weeks for them to review then I will know whether they will publish or not. I trust everything to God, His Will be done.
Is it possible to share/contribute my writing in your Newletter? I have contributed to some Filipino News/magazines here in UK.
Greetings from Pauline Flores of London, UK. You have open a very good project promoting Philippines in other countries. I've live in England for more than 35 years and I salute you kabayan in Netherland what you have achieved. Well done
Congratulations

I find your articles truly informative, either articles from The Netherlands - which I have been missing since I left in 1974; articles around the globe, and in particular the articles from back home - never been back since I left in 1971 and I am sure that significant changes and improvements have occured since then.
thanks so much and greetings to all
Thank you for sharing the news about our countrymen in that part of the world. IT is always wonderful to know that Filipinos are doing wonderfully well.
Hope someday we will have an opportunity to meet.
Regards and God bless everyone.

I got an email from a friend here in Florida, US containing one of your edition and I was so fascinated on the overall dynamics of your communication vehicle which simply interconnect all pinoys from all over the world. This is brilliant and awesome. May this conduit through the cyberspace be OUR LINK to our kapwa pilipino who left our native country with one communality...being one and united as pilipinos regardless where we and our families are now.
Mr. Flores, please include me in your list of recipients of the upcoming issues. In central Florida there are hundred of pinoys who have retired here and perhaps we can contribute "stories" of our lives that will inspire viewers abroad as well as in the Philippines.
I live with my Carina, 2 grown up children and 2 grandkids at Wildwood, Florida.
We relocated from Pennsylvania 2 years ago and love the life style and weather here in FL as it is just like in the Philippines.
Glad we found your link.
Salamat sa iyo kabayan
