Pinoy Sining Elect New Guards for 2010
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
February 21, 2010

Just recently, the members of Pinoy Sining (The Filipinos for Arts & Culture) in Riyadh elect a new line-up of executive officers for Program Year 2010.  The new line-up of officers include:  Manuel B. Lauzon, President, Lurdan Ferrando, VP Education & Training; Dra. Alice B. Magallanes, VP for Program Development; Federico Yuzon, VP for Public Relations; Yusof T. Bagul, VP for Membership; Caironisah Said Hadji Jamil, Board Secretary; Marineth Caquista, Board Treasurer; Vicente Daanoy, Board Auditor and Mely S. Guanzon, Cultural Business Manager.

Likewise, the line-up of officers at the Advisory Board level takes a new twist since the PS group of advisors has finally appointed Prudencio Caquista as the new ‘Chairman of the Advisory Board’,   replacing Jamie Nava Cruz, who now devotes most of his time wrapping-up his first-two books: “OFWs Behind the Curtains” and “The Desert Roses” due for publication in Manila very soon.  Caquista is teamed-up with Norie S. Gomez, who replaced Alvin Guanzon, as the new Vice Chairman.

As of this writing, PS new guards are arranging the nitty-gritty of their forthcoming induction ceremonies scheduled to take place on 11th March, and thereafter, will start their 2010 Program activities comprising of:  the AIDS Awareness Symposium, Mukha ng Pinoy 2011 and a lot more line-up-of cultural activities.  – (J.
