The Asian Canadian Talent Search Top 13 Finalists rocked the stage and competed for a chance to win a $1,000 cash prize and an opportunity to produce a song with music producer and songwriter extraordinaire Chris Perry.

After months of auditions and eliminations, and hours of preparation, the Asian Canadian Talent Search concluded in a dramatic style Saturday night. Fifteen-year-old Grand Champion Christina Subin Lee (Korean) takes home first place, Tam Duong (Vietnamese) takes second place, and Jodi Jahnke (Chinese) takes third place.
“It is certainly our hope that this singing competition will bring out the best of our Asian-Canadian youth and help to promote greater community spirit and involvement. I love working with young people that are aspiring artists,” says Joseph Chen, President of the Canadian Multicultural Council.
“This has been one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had and I’m glad to have met people who have the same passion as I do…next year I’m coming back stronger than ever” – from a Finalist.
The Asian Canadian Talent Search (ACTS) is an annual singing competition organized by the Canadian Multicultural Council – Asians in Ontario that provides an opportunity for young Asian Canadians to have their voice heard above thousands. The ACTS was created to promote and celebrate multiculturalism in Asian Canadian youth and to nurture young vocal performers in their early stages. They are given the chance to represent their community and place a spotlight on the talent that exists in the heart of the Greater Toronto Area, a city that bursts with undiscovered talent and star power.
