BAUANG, LA UNION… my reunion place!
La Union
April 14, 2013

I traveled about a week ago! This time I am heading north of Luzon, my destination is Bauang, La Union.

About two decades ago, since I had my last contact with my dearest friend in high school.  And finally I got to see her again with her three (3) beautiful grown up kids! (Thanks to social media networking, that links us together again).

Bauang, La Union is not that far. It is just six (6) hours away from Quezon City.  It was a nice “breathing space” from the noisy, crowded, polluted and busy metropolis.

It is a place where I can easily relax my mind, simply by just looking around the green fields under the mango tree.

I said to myself, “my next stop will be in the province of Bohol”....

Everyone believes that Mindanao (Southern Philippines) is a dangerous place to go… it is stigma created by longtime armed conflict in that place, so a lot of friends will say, “why go there, it’s a Muslim region… it must be unsafe for Christians.”

I dismiss that thought....

The “ber months” is almost over now.  Counting few more days and the preparation for the coming year are all set.  However, always the “ber” months are months for reflection as I may say so.  Why is this so?  For businessmen it is a time for reflection, to stop for...
