‘Missed Samonte’ ran away with Top Awards during the 2nd IISFF 2013 in India

Carrying its social-advocacy theme: “Life is not all about choices, but rather, life is about decision”, ‘Missed Samonte, a film from the Philippines and adapted for screenplay from the pages of ‘The Desert Roses’ (Mga Rosas ng Disyerto) book written by OFW writer/documentarist J. Nava Cruz and produced under the umbrella of Pinoy Sining (The Filipinos for Arts & Culture) bagged two top major awards, (‘Best Short Film’ and ‘Best Story’) during the recently concluded March 23-28 Second Imphal International Short Film Festival (IISFF) 2013 in Manipur, India with the theme, ‘Bigger Picture in shorts’.
