CELEBRATING LIFE AT 85

     A happy mother and housewife for around 25 years, Adelina “Deling”Ramos Aguirre had to assume the role of raising alone her six young children after the sudden death of her husband, Gabriel Aguirre of Aklan.

 Determined that her children will finish their studies, she started an upholstery business in the ground floor of her home. Through their mother’s hard work all children were able to obtain a university degree.

Last August during their summer holiday in the Philippines Catherine Malabanan Manaog with her two young daughters, Katrina and Mikaela visited the children ages three to six years who receive free pre-elementary training through Gawad Kalinga’s  (GK) program, SIBOL  Prep-school in barangay Don Manuel in Quezon City.
