Toronto Catholic School Trustee G. Tanuan to Keynote PTAC's 7th Annual Professional Development Event

Garry Tanuan, a Filipino Canadian Trustee for Ward 8 in Scarborough,Ontario of the Toronto Catholic District School Board ( TCDSB), will deliver the keynote address at the Seventh Annual Professional Development Seminar of the Philippine Teachers Association of Canada (PTAC). The 7-year old volunteer-run, social -professional organization is conducting a free event on May 12, 2013( Sunday) at 12:00-4:30 p.m. at St. Clair Forest Hill Loblaws ,2nd Floor, # 396 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto, Ontario.

An IT professional ,Trustee G. Tanuan is a certified project manager experienced in the government, finance, and clinical research sectors. He lectured at the Seneca @ York University campus , Toronto. Married to Marla Mercado with four children, Tiffany, Carolyn, Jeremy and Suzanne, he is active in the Catholic-faith community and various community organizations in his Highland Creek and Rouge Valley constituency areas. Tanuan ran for the Catholic Trustee position in order to make a difference to bring back the Faith into our community, anchored in hope, with love for all our children.

FilCan Teachers Hold Seminar on Career Search Tools and Networking

True to its established mission and mandate, the Philippine Teachers Association of Canada (PTAC), conducted a free seminar-workshop on March 17, 2013 at Loblaws Supermarket Social Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. 

The successful professional activity, the Association's 5th annual event, was attended by registered & licensed teachers and teachers- on- career transition in Ontario and as well, former teachers in the Philippines who are current residents in the province....
